Hi and welcome to the list, Lasse. :-)

Well, "legal" varies from country to country, but I would imagine in
most countries it's legal to make an mp3 file for you *own* use of such
a recording. However, giving (or worse, selling) it to someone else is
likely not legal. I know there are many mp3 files around the net, some
(most?) of which are likely illegal. I'd never urge you to do something
which is illegal of course, but I can say that I think many fans would
really like hearing concerts as mp3 files. (Read that as you wish :-)

Well, *if* you were to use mp3 format for a full concert, the most
sensible method would be to break it up by each song. You could also
consider using less-than-CD-quality sound, in which case it doesn't
take up as much space. Especially if the original source of the music
is not very good in quality, using highest-quality sound in the mp3
file wouldn't really give that much of a benefit.
